I was born in Rome, in October 1981.
My career began as a comic scriptwriter and colorist, then in the 2010s I gradually moved on to writing fiction. I have written and published several fantasy novels both for adults and for children. I often work in tandem with my wife Rita Micozzi, a talented illustrator and character designer for animation, both on textbook illustrations and our own fictions.
I currently live in Castelfidardo, near Ancona (Italy).

WRITER
In 2012 I published my first fantasy fiction book, Darkwing vol. 1 – La Spada dai Sette Occhi (The Seven-Eyed Sword), with Ute Libri, followed up in 2013 by the short comic special Darkwing #0 - L'Età dell'Innocenza (Age of Innocence). In 2014, the second book from the same series came out: Darkwing vol. 2 – L'Armata degli Scheletri (The Army of Skulls).
After Ute Libri ceased its activity a year later, I decided to turn Darkwing into a fully creator-owned brand. Between 2016 and 2017 I restarted the series by self-publishing re-edited versions of the first two books, also adding to the list Darkwing vol. 3 - La Freccia d'Oro (The Golden Arrow) and two spin-offs: Dal Tramonto all'Alba (From Sunset Till Dawn) and Terrore dagli Abissi (Terror from the Abyss), plus the short comic L'Assedio (The Siege). My wife Rita and I also started a collaboration with Plesio Editore and Astro Edizioni, giving birth to the fantasy universe of Dershing. Astro Edizioni published in October 2016 a short non-adult illustrated fiction book, Tutto per un Drago di Legno (All for a Wooden Dragon) that was meant as a version of Dershing suitable for children (6-12 yo). In February 2017, Dershing - Gli Ultimi Draghi (Dershing - The Last Dragons) came out for Plesio, as the first book of a trilogy. The second volume, L'Ultima Dershing (The Last Dershing) came out in December 2020.
In the late 2018, we also started an entirely new line of Darkwing books by publishing La Caccia (The Hunt), our first illustrated gamebook. The title was even more critically acclaimed than the novels and proved to be a successful seller, so put out a sequel, La Voce di Greyven (The Voice of Greyven) in May 2020, with more titles coming up.
Both Darkwing and Dershing are still ongoing series. They are currently available only in Italian language, but we fully intend to translate them in other languages in the near future.
In addition to my work as a writer, I also accept jobs as an editor and a pagemaker when time allows it.

SCHOOLBOOKS
While I kept working on my own books, I have mantained open collaborations as a colorist and an external art director for some of the most prominent Italian schoolbook publishers such as Rizzoli, Bompiani, Mondadori and La Scuola Editrice.
Since 2013, I have worked with my wife Rita and a changing team of illustrators on several textbooks for intermediate-grade schoolers, impaired children and immigrants, with a total number of drawings that counts by about one thousand pictures. Our longest-standing collaboration is with La Scuola Editrice (from 2016 to current day).
