Darkwing vol. 1
The Seven-Eyed Sword
A traveller shall come to claim the Sword.
Earth. A not too distant future.
A groundbreaking experiment for a clean, limitless energy source could change the future of mankind. But the dream turns into a disaster. Peter disappears into the explosion.
It's not the end, but the beginning of an amazing journey. He finds himself lost in a place named Corown, where the Seven-Eyed Sword chooses him to become the Darkwing, a fierce warrior consumed by a terrible power. Can Peter use it to protect the world he's meant to destroy?

The Seven-Eyed Sword is an amazing experiment, born out of a mix of science fiction and fantasy with a touch of visionary horror. Don't let yourself be fooled by its seemingly classical approach: the story will surprise you soon enough.

Darkwing vol. 2
The Army of Skulls
No war is worse than the one fought in the name of God.
The hordes of Greyven march upon the Euras, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
While the Solar prepare to go into battle under the leadership of the Grand Masters, Peter must once again resort to the powers of the Seven-Eyed Sword to face his deadliest enemy.
However this time, the price of victory might just be too high to pay.

The Army of Skulls contains one of the most profund reflexions upon religion and holy war I have ever seen in a fantasy fiction.

Davide Cencini can really make you taste metal.

Imposing. The author keeps getting better and better on every book.
Cencini's absolute mastery of battles keeps you eating through this episode even during long big fights. You don't get to be bored.
Every character has a moment to shine. Not just the heroes... even villains are true and believable.

From Sunset till Dawn
An impossible battle. A ruthless enemy. The past that returns.
"I had a family once, and I let them down. The Solar are my family now. I won't lose them, no matter the cost."
The war between the Euras and Greyven is at a standpoint, and the Solar are on the frontline.
The small monastery of Thelle is under siege from the bloodthirsty general Bohrs. Grandmasters Gabos and Nomad come in aid to guide the final stand. The two leaders will not only face a ruthless enemy, but also the ghosts of their own past.

Davide takes a seemingly small episode from The Golden Arrow and turns it into something truly epic.
Despite the absence of the main cast, the book not only stands on its own legs as a perfect one-shot, but it also succeeds in bringing to light secondary characters who would otherwise remain unexploited.
A key addition to The Golden Arrow and a great tale of war to read on its own.

Terror from the Abyss

"When I trained, they used to say I feared nothing. But I did. I was terrified by myself."

When the coastal city of Stervia is attacked by a pirate fleet, Maris must join forces with the mermaid Kithera, her long-time rival. The two warrior women will find out something terrible lurks into the abyss, something that will force Maris to face her greatest fear.

The sheer scale of this 120-pages story is astounding. For such a short tale, it feels so damn BIG.
A "deep dive" into the characters' souls. The personal story of Maris is both poetic and touching. I loved the rivalry with Kithera and the connections I found with "From Sunset till Dawn".
With clashing ships, pirates and giant sea monsters, this DLC is so packed with adrenaline.
